The father in the story Fydor Pavlovich Karamazov  is a womanizer ,that loves money as well. As a matter of fact he is marries twice , with three  sons. Dmitri ,son of his first wife ,Alyosha and Ivan . Sadly their mothers pass and he sent them to live with family and friends.

However Dmitri now twenty eight years old and a soldier  has return to town, to claim his inheritance left by his mother.Not to mention the fact that his father is not happy to see him because he wants to keep the money.
