Needless to say  he set the standard for other journalists to follow.  A traveling journalist whose major contribution is made during the second world war . Additionally his biography  has historical properties  because he is first journalist to broadcast news from outside the country to ABC America. From London to America during the 1940’S, not only was he a war correspondent but a radio show host. In like manner his  radio show reached millions who otherwise depended on newspapers only for their  news .

Upon his return from Europe  he  became a director of CBS  and a power house in the advertising business.
