William Saroyan text The Human comedy about Homer MaCauley whose father pass away. His older brother Marcus is away in the war. So Homer takes care of his mother Kate, his older sister Bess. Also his younger brother Ulysses. Additionally Homer moves through life working as a telegraph boy. He delivers the bad news to a middle age woman that her son passed. Needless to say he basically learns about the world from his work. He is also inspired by his principal Mr. EK.
