The Pony Express

Samuel Hopkins Adam’s book, The Pony Express , tell the story of mail delivery service done by horses. The service organised by Alexander Majors and William B. Waddelle in the early years of the California gold rush. Not to mention the fact that this service by horse riders also carry telegrams, personal letters  , business letters, as well as  material for the gold industry, from Missouri to California.  Additionally the mail carriers did the journey in relays , two to three legs to  make this delivery. The trip takes about ten days.
